I’m Dan and I lead Christchurch Three Mills. Before getting ordained in the Church of England, I was a maths teacher in schools around East London for 10 years. I love the dream we have as a church to be a church in, with and for the good of our local neighbourhood and am enjoying living and making friends on the Mill Meads estate and beyond. For me, the revolutionary words, life, death and resurrection of Jesus have as much relevance to us now as ever, whatever our background or connection to church or faith. Love to talk to you about this sometime!
I am married to Ellie and we have 2 wonderful daughters who are incredible and bring joy, life and laughter to us and many others. I enjoy good coffee, reading, being creative and occasional, inconsistent bouts of running.
Hiya! My name’s Maxine and I work full time as a justices’ clerk. I’m easy going, love volunteering and if I ever have free time, you’ll probably catch me cycling around in East London parks. I’ve been attending Church since a child and what has always kept me coming back is that it’s a place where everyone is truly welcome and is a space where you can go as you are: happy, sad or indifferent. CC3M is special because we’re all committed to loving the community and responding to any challenges that may arise. The connections that have been formed so far are so nurturing and I’m certain that the community is there for me as I am for everyone.
My name is Patricia, a widow and retired, and have been a regular member at Christ Church Three Mills, and a safeguarding officer.
I have been going to church since childhood, and have seen how much God has shaped my life over the years.
I am part of the leadership team, a multi-cultural, friendly and welcome space for all to come and hear the good news of Jesus.
We are planting this church in the community for all ages, the lonely, the forgotten and the bereaved.
I would like you to come and join me at the banquet table, make friends, and be yourself.
God can use anyone, even those who think this thriving community is not for them. All are welcome,
Hi, my name is Alison. I am a happily married mum of one! My favourite subject in school was child development which is why I chose a career working with children and families. What I love about being involved in the church is the enjoyment I get from seeing people each week, sharing stories, attending worship, enjoying the community events and spreading God’s word.
Stay tuned....
Hello! I'm Ellie, one of the leaders at Christchurch Three Mills. I am married to Dan and we have two wonderful daughters. I am passionate about our local church community and love being able to meet and get to know people from the Three Mills area. I love reading and enjoy watching terrible romantic comedies.
Hello! My name is Rebecca. I live in London and worked in the NHS. I like that our church brings people (young and old) and community together and allows them to interact and communicate. Christchurch Three Mills helps reinforce social unity and stability.
My name is Andrew Nkem. I am a youth leader at CC3M and part of the leadership team. I specifically work with the young people of the church and in the area.
I enjoy so many things in life like good conversation, going on walks, going to restaurants (I REALLY LIKE FOOD) cinema, and sporting events and helping young people see things through the eyes of scripture. My favourite sport is football, best team: Real Madrid, favourite athlete: LeBron James (basketball player), favourite food: lamb korma and a cheeky peshwari naan bread.
A Bible verse that is important to me for the young people in the community is:
Matthew 13:31-33
“The kingdom of heaven is like yeast that a woman took and mixed into about sixty pounds of flour until it worked all through the dough.”
I believe CC3M is a church that helps the kingdom of heaven be received in the hearts of young people in the community that will have an amazing effect for all people of the community.
Hey! I’m Jenna and I work part-time at Church, in charge of all the admin. I’m a quiet, reserved person, but in my free time I’m always at the gym weightlifting to some pretty loud heavy metal music! I also love being a part of Church and getting into the routine of seeing familiar faces each week, and love hearing all the stories people share.
Hello! My name is Doyin. I work with the Local Authority. I am married with amazing kids. I enjoy planning events and serving in the house of God in my own little way. I appreciate the Christchurch Three Mills community. Especially how focused we are on children and young people, and bringing the gospel to them. It is great to see everyone connected and having fun at the different events that are organised throughout the year. I always look forward to attending with my family.
Hey! I'm Andy and I am an Ordinand here at Christchurch Three Mills, which means that I am beginning my journey of training for ministry here at Christchurch. Alongside my training I am doing some research trying to understand some of the reasons some people leave church. I love being a part of this church, particularly the emphasis on serving the local community and creating a welcoming and inclusive space for everyone. I am married to Jo, and we have just had our first child, Ezra. When I am not working for Christchurch, I love watching sport, particularly football and cricket, and listening to podcasts.
Stay tuned...
